Bow Slope Shipping Association Co-Op is located in Brooks, Alberta "The Heart of Cattle Country". This region boasts the highest concentration of cow-calf operations in all of Canada.
Formed by local farmer and ranchers in 1940, Bow Slope Shipping Association has since built a formidable reputation as a superior market to buy and sell premium livestock. Buyers from across the Province and Canada are attracted to the sales in large numbers to bid on the high quality cattle brought to market.
The Association has evolved into a Co-op which allows for very competitive user fees and commissions as well as volume rebates.
The well maintained and efficiently run facility is one of the largest of its kind, with capacity exceeding 4000 head.
Bow Slope has also earned a reputation for integrity and for balancing the needs of buyers and sellers. The Association itself does not purchase cattle so consumers are never competing against the house. It spends large amounts of time and resources to insure good consigner and buyer representation on sale days.
